The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level for Fall 2009. Energetic, motivated researchers/teachers seeking challenging and fulfilling academic careers are sought to aid in the University of Arkansas’ quest for excellence. Preference is for applicants with specialization in (i) electronic packaging (for integrated passives, medical devices, and/or organic electronics, 3-D packaging) and (ii) power engineering. But, outstanding candidates from other areas or at higher ranks will also be considered. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. The department houses state of the art facilities for testing medium voltage equipment (http://www.ncrept.eleg.uark.edu) as well as class 10 and 100 clean room facilities for micro, nano fabrication & characterization, organic electronics, power electronics, LTCC packaging, and RF/MW characterization & imaging to 100 GHz (www.hidec.uark.edu). Thus, the department offers great potential for collaborative research, both within and across disciplines.

College of Engineering enrollment is approximately 2100 students. The Electrical Engineering department has 19 full-time faculty and 85 graduate students.
