What Courses can be Transferred from Another School?
In most cases mathematics courses and humanities courses can be transferred. Physics courses only transfer if they have calculus as a pre-requisite. Engineering courses only transfer if you took them in a department whose Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is ABET accredited, and they have calculus as a pre-requisite.
These rules are the general rules to determine whether an undergraduate course will probably transfer. They do not guarantee that a course will transfer. A course must be approved both by the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and by the Department of Electrical Engineering in order to transfer. Courses that have been approved by the University of Arkansas for transfer can be found by going to http://www.uark.edu/registrar/TransferCredit/ , then clicking on Search for Course Equivalencies , and then clicking on Transfer Course Equivalency Guides to search for your college or university. The final decision on whether a course will transfer will be made by the Associate Department Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
