Biographical Information

Jeffrey Mincy joined the University of Arkansas Electrical Engineering Department in January 2000. Most of his first year was spent in the High Density Electronics Center (HiDEC) thin film fabrication laboratory working on thin-film deposition methods, thin film processing, and photolithography. When the University later opened the Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) laboratory, he transferred to this new fabrication facility where he was promoted to laboratory supervisor responsible for training and process engineering in ceramics research. Previous areas of research emphasis include LTCC process design, fabrication, and testing. Mincy’s testing and fabrication expertise include Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM), Robotic probe testing, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Substrate Surface Planarization/wafer thinning via Chemical-Mechanical Polishing (CMP), and Digital Microphotography. Mr. Mincy has recently been assigned to the HiDEC laboratory as an Electrical Engineering Research Assistant in the role of Assembly Instructor. Current responsibilities include all aspects of Electronics Packaging Assembly.
